8yrs. of crewing on racecars; modifieds as well as a 3 car late model team. Also raced 2 years of kart racing and 3 enduro races during (1995-2002)
Designed, built, raced, and competed in the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) baja competition for four years while earning a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee (1996-2000)
In 2003, the first full season of race driving, won one race and won the Rookie of the Year in the modified division at Slinger Speedway
In 2004, raced 27 races at 5 different tracks with a total of 7 wins, 4 fast times, and 12 top five finishes in only the second year of driving in the modified. Also raced a super latemodel for the first time.
In 2005, had 5 feature wins, 2 dash wins, 5 fast times, and finished 3rd overall in points with the modified at Slinger. Won the October Classic in Lake Geneva with the modified. Raced the super late model twice with a top 10 finish. Raced a total of 23 races.
In 2006, stepped up to the USA modified series for 5 races. Didn’t run for points at Slinger in the modified; however, had a fast time and finished in the top 3 every time but one. Raced a total of 20 races, with 5 rainouts, and had 4 major shows with the cars on display including the televised Generac 500 at Road America. I was able to meet Dwayne Lucas at the Generac 500, talk to him for awhile, and show him the cars which was very cool.
In 2007, had 8 fast times, 3 feature wins, and won the championship in the Midwest Modified, and ran the super latemodel 23 times, consistently in the feature the last 10 weeks of the season.
